Digital Wound Care Model Demonstrates Strong Patient and Clinician Outcomes
A 2026 study published in the International Wound Journal evaluated the district-wide implementation of a digital wound care model combining an AI-enabled wound application with a nurse-led Wound Care Command Centre across four hospitals and five community health centres. The study found high patient satisfaction and improved communication, access to specialist care and confidence in wound self-management. It also identified opportunities to further strengthen patient involvement in decision-making, clinician training and integration of digital tools into everyday workflows.
