Digital wound care innovation - first year in

Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service has marked the first year of its Tissue Analytics digital wound care program, introduced at Hervey Bay Hospital in 2024. The AI-powered platform uses smartphone imaging to measure and track wounds over time, supporting faster clinical decisions, stronger telehealth services and more consistent documentation. In its first year, clinicians completed more than 5,600 image-based assessments, with over 500 wounds assessed and almost 200 patients healed or discharged.
