The RPA Virtual Wound Care Command Centre was recognised with the Transforming Patient Experience Award at the 2024 NSW Health Awards. The nurse-led virtual service combines specialist care with digital tools, including an AI-supported wound app, to dramatically improve access, continuity of care and healing outcomes.

Since its launch, specialist wait times have fallen from an average of 13.4 days to just two hours, demonstrating the potential for virtual wound care to be expanded across NSW.
